Meet our Provider

Melanie Schneidmiller, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Melanie Schneidmiller is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience.  She is board certified in Family Practice through the American Nurses' Credentialing Center.  She attended Tarleton State University and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2002.  She knew early on that her passion involved helping people improve their health, so she worked as a nurse tech and as an LVN while obtaining her degree.  She graduated with her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2008 and has served on the graduate nursing faculty in the Family Nurse Practitioner program since 2017 in addition to maintaining a busy practice.  Her clinical experience is varied, having worked in community medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, pharmaceutical research, and corporate health and wellness.

She is a married mother of three very active children in different stages of life.  She is the mother of a collegiate student athlete, a high school student athlete, and a middle school student athlete/band kid.  She understands the difficulty of prioritizing your health with such a busy lifestyle and has a passion for helping people to find that balance.

Our Story

Our mission at Balanced Life Health and Wellness is to give our clients the tools that they need to improve their health and live the life that they want.  We develop the individualized program with the client, then the client is in the driver's seat.  We are not just a medication dispensary, and we understand the frustration of losing weight just to gain it all back once you stop your diet, medication, program, etc.  That is why we provide you with the support you need every step of the way, including when it is time for you to maintain your success and the healthy changes you have made to get there.

We understand that obesity is a disease and treat it with evidence based protocols developed through obesity research.  We provide personalized support to help you not only meet your goals, but also to maintain your progress through sustainable lifestyle changes to last a lifetime.
